Welcome to our new theater. As of September 2004, Masque Community Theatre has a new home. The opening production in our wonderful location was The Fantasticks - and what a fantastic show it truly was to see!!!! Our thanks to all who were able to work so many hours to make this theatre and first production possible. Welcome to our new theater. As of September 2004, Masque Community Theatre has a new home. The opening production in our wonderful location was The Fantasticks - and what a fantastic show it truly was to see!!!! Our thanks to all who were able to work so many hours to make this theatre and first production possible. Masque Community Theatre was founded in 1986 for the cultural enhancement of the community through the performing arts as well as an outlet for the creative talents of all ages. Since the beginning, Masque of Temple Terrace has provided an educational and cultural venue for all ages, with special attention to the young, the disadvantaged and the senior citizen. Each production has been cast to reflect a mastery of the stage by the leading players and yet offer opportunities to a diverse population with minimal or no performing experience. This provides a chance to share the stage and learn basic stage craft techniques. Off-stage personnel obtain solid lighting, sound, set design and construction, prop management, costuming and musical ensemble experiences. The stage history of Masque clearly defines an energetic and family-based theatre season. Masque of Temple Terrace is a non-profit, non-equity facility operated by volunteers of the community, governed by a Board of Directors chosen from the active membership. Masque is a member of the Tampa Arts Council and the Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce. We welcome all those who are interested in participating in community theatre to become active members of Masque. Members receive a monthly newsletter containing information about auditions, upcoming events and shows, as well as notice about members performing elsewhere. As a non-profit community theater, Masque Community Theatre relies solely on the generous individual support from patrons in the community through season tickets, advertising from businesses and friends, and from box office sales to meet the annual operating budget.
