The Jungle Theatre Company (JTC) began performing theatre in South Africa in 1995 under the name of Jungle Performance. It’s roots lie in the transformational period of South Africa’s history. Jungle felt the need to be a part of this dynamic time and contribute to the new SA by creating integrated theatre that was accessible to all.
Jungle Performance introduced the universally accessible mediums of
music, mime, puppetry, juggling and storytelling into their early
performances and these have become characteristic elements of Jungle’s
performance style over the years. Through this, the company realized
how a large and interactive audience of mixed backgrounds could be
gathered to be a part of Jungle’s dream.
The current directors of JTC, Vincent Meyburgh and Stuart Palmer, both carry years of theatrical experience with them. Art work done by Vincent Add as favourites (49) | Quote this article on your site
