The indie rock scene in Durban comes alive once again with the 2nd Indie Rock Party taking place at Burn Nightclub on the 30th May 2008.  The event features Fire Through The Window, a local Durban based band that is progressively working their way into the eyes and ears of the public throughout South Africa

Their music is a comfortable blend of both an Indie and radio-friendly melodies & rhythms which appeal to a substantial number of people across a broad spectrum. The band is led by two lead vocalists Marc de la Querra and Sinead Dennis while being joined on stage by three talented musicians Peter Babol on guitar, Sidney Rash on drums and Matt Coombes on bass. Their debut single “Just Like You Are” has been featured on the iPod Nano advert which is flighted nationally on over 60 DSTV channels and has flooded the net.  Check out Fire Through The Window on www.myspace.com/firethroughthewindow

FTTW will be joined by the Social Workers, a DJ collective that is unlike any other – an irrepressible high-energy assault of super-sharp shooting tunes that grab you by the seat of your pants and give you a damned good shaking.

The event starts at 20h00 and R20 gets you in before 21h00 or R30 thereafter.  Burn nightclub is on 16 Wall Avenue, Stamfordhill, Durban.  For more information, contact Slingshot Productions on 031 312 5299
