I started playing guitar and writing songs when I was 12. My first real live show was at the Mercury Lounge when I was 15 in 2002. After a couple of shows, with and without my early punk band "Janie Jones", I was banned until I was old enough to legally be there. Since then I've worked as a solo artist, playing all over Cape Town at such fine establishments as Zula Bar, The Indie Armchair Theatre, Obs Cafe, Baraza, Jo'burg, Cafe Vespa, and Opium. Over the years I've recorded several tracks with Street Level Studios, Ben Amato, Jorge Carlos, and recently I've been messing around at the City Varsity Studios. One of my career highlights was supporting Rodriguez on his latest SA tour in 2005 at The Dorp Street Theatre in Stellenbosch, as well as having a song I wrote, called "Nowhere's Calling", aired on the popular SA travel show "Going Nowhere Slowly". 2007 saw the release of my debut album 'Long Street Lullabies' and two tours to Johannesburg. The most important thing in life is to do what you love. I'm proud to say that I wake up everyday with nothing to do but sing, and write music, and put myself out there so that you can hear it.
