Aidan Cornhill is a singer/songwriter from Durban. He rode his first wave of prominence as writer and guitarist for South African band Deluxe. Seaside B-sides, his solo debut, is a collection of demos recorded at Tropical Sweat Studios in Durban and Eastwood Studios in Nashville. Initially formed out of the notion of presenting Seaside B-sides to a bigger audience, multi-instrumentalists Sidney Rash and Kieran Smith were enlisted to form the Dearly Beloved, a sonically powerful backing band for bigger shows. Aidan was recently voted as a top 10 favourite for 2007 by Canned Applause Records in Johannesburg where he performed a number of intimate solo acoustic shows in November.
