BED ON BRICKS was formed in February 2003 in the boerewors triangle - namely Somerset West, Stellenbosch and Cape Town, South Africa.
The band comprises Tim Rankin (drums), Dave van der Linden (guitar), Schalk van der Merwe (bass) and Mike Hardy (vocals/sax).

After 4 months of introductions and pleasantries, the band shuffled into the studio to record their first album “Humanarium”.
Extensive touring followed and before long the band notched up slots on most major music festivals around the country.
With an ever growing fan-base, ‘bricks’ eagerly cruised back into the studio to record their second album – “If You See Kay”.

They have also released a live bootleg album called "Takeaways" and are currently in the studio working on their 3^rd studio album together with Play Dough Records.
