At the eleventh hour – literally as the contents of the Catalina Theatre was being packed away in boxes – Rainbow Chicken has agreed to resolve the financial predicament and to make the appropriate payments to landlord Ithala to keep the theatre open.

The Performers Travel Guide opened at The IntimateTheatre in Cape Town last night. Directed by Rob Van Vuuren, produced by Asa K Jogi and acted by Scott Sparrow. The Intimate Theatre which is a small and "intimate" venue was full to capacity.

After staging some hundred productions over five years, the Catalina Theatre in Wilson’s Wharf will close its doors at the end of the month.
