Chaos Theory

In 2003, after the break-up of a small punk band Zero Hero, 3 of the 4 members reformed to become Chaos Theory, a blend of hard rock with punk and metal influences. In 2003, Chaos Theory recorded their first song, Redemption at Rooftop Studios in Pretoria with Emile De Jongh from The Narrow. The band also recorded a music video later that year for Redemption with Herman Verwey from "Andre vd Walt" The band continued to play numerous shows around the Gauteng area and in 2004 returned to Rooftop Studios to record Omen Amen.

Hardcore / Metal / Screamo

The music started to blend into what could be best described as post hardcore or metal-core with a very wide range of influences, ranging from Thrice & Underoath, to heavier bands like Soilwork and über musicians Tool. Heavy guitars, solid drumming & explosive vocals depicts the sound. Chaos Theory has also since played with many established South African bands like, Shu, Fuzigish, D-Day Forever, Cannon To A Whisper, Hush, Andre vd Walt and more. CT is still boasting with the original three-piece line-up & the latest single was recorded early in 2006, called "Firebox"
