Is of course with a delight to communicate to you some of the important prospects of how sasco in Limpopo view the current change of political landscape in our country. We had a meeting that was basically discussing issues that were concerning issues and breaking in our province. The following are things we discussed and we are convinced that they are for public interest.    ON AXING OF MAYORS.    We have seen last week the firing of 5 five mayor by the PEC of the ANC. The event of sacking mayors from Makhado, Giyani, Modimole, Mable hall and Blouberg Municipalities had left SASCO in the province riddled with dismay. This is an open public purge and settlement of cheap political revenge to the mayors as individuals because on their position to support Mbeki and Moloto‘s failed bid to be president and chairperson of the ANC respectively. We did not anticipate this factional decision during this time when individuals are breaking ways with the ANC alleging that it is deviating from freedom charter. Sasco condemns this decision with contempt and declare it a blander and defamatory way of operation by the PEC.     ON CONGRESS OF PEOPLE. (COP)    The PEC noted in its meeting the progressive move by cadres who deviated from this malicious ANC. We took a resolution to support Congress of the people as sasco in Limpopo and anticipate that our members will follow this decision in our branches. However this will be taken as Limpopo Sasco position as we are heading to our National General Council (NGC). We want to change the resolution of our National Congress “to ensure 100 per cent student vote”. We are informed that there are several Provinces which are sharing the same views with us here in Limpopo so we will lobby each other toward that NGC to change some policies and resolutions which are binding us to ally behind the ANC because we are not certain on our future within ANC as the youth, WE HAVE LOST TRUST IN IT and if possible to change even the leadership of sasco in that NGC. The current NEC members are loyal to Zuma which gives us uncertainty on this project. We took a resolution to go in the NGC with a position to change leadership of sasco in the NEC and put leadership that will be sympathetic to LEKOTA and SHILOWA Party.    ON SUSPENSION OF MEMBERS WHO ATTENDED CONVENTION.    The Sowentan on Thursday(06th Nov 200 published that Selomo P P, Maringa W, Rangata Abel and Tjie Abel; Matjipa and Nthuse are suspended for just a mere fact of attending the convention .. As SASCO Limpopo PEC, we condemn the behavior of Capricorn chairperson in restricting the said comrades to participating in political parties of their choice by suspending them as members of sasco.
