Through the newly-restructured Professional Development Programme funded by Nedbank Arts Affinity, the Arts and Culture Trust (ACT) is proud to be supporting projects in their appearance at the National Arts Festival, which takes place 3 – 13 July 2014 in the Eastern Cape city of Grahamstown.

 

Dynamic young presenters are invited to audition to MC the Finals of the 2014 ACT | DALRO | Nedbank Scholarships Awards.

The National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, which is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year, has announced a landmark Main programme which will feature the work of 65 former Standard Bank Young Artist Award winners; artists from 26 countries; over 550 performances in Theatre, Dance, Performance Art and Music; nine specially commissioned music works; musicians with more than 40 South African Music Awards and three Grammy Awards under their belt, and an ambitious, sprawling ‘Creation of a Nation’ project across Grahamstown.

The National Arts Festival and the City of Cape Town today announced a partnership which will see the launch of a new performing arts festival in September, modeled on some of the world’s iconic events.
